IDRBT & NIBM announce
Professional Management Programme in Banking and Technology

Dr. Michael D. Patra, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India, formally announced a new Professional Management Programme in Banking and Technology (PMPBT), on November 18, 2024 at NIBM, Pune. A collaborative initiative between the IDRBT and National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM), the PMPBT is designed to equip professionals working in the BFSI, including individuals from banks, financial institutions, FinTech companies, and tech and consulting professionals operating in the domain in the banking, financial services, and insurance sectors with the essential skills and knowledge to thrive in an increasingly digital-first landscape.

The programme, to be offered online over a period of 8 months, is crafted to provide participants with a solid foundation in digital technology and management. The programme is divided into two primary areas of focus: Core Digital Banking Competencies and Advanced Technology Applications.

Online sessions will be scheduled on weekends. There will also be a 5-day on-campus Immersion Programme, each at NIBM and IDRBT. The course will be taught by a blend of experienced faculty members from both the Institutes, as well as CXO-level leaders from banks, regulators (such as RBI, Cert-In, NCIIPC), and solution architects from the ICT industry and OEMs, ensuring a robust and diverse learning experience.

The PMPBT is a perfect choice for both current and aspiring digital banking professionals seeking to drive innovation within the BFSI sector. The programme starts in January 2025.
