A delegation from the Kenya School of Monetary Studies, Kenya (A School of Central Bank of Kenya), paid a visit to IDRBT. Shri. B. Sambamurthy, Director, IDRBT welcomed the delegation. The delegation interacted with the team of IDRBT and discussed about the research activities in the areas of Information Security, Mobile Banking, CRM, Financial Inclusion, Cloud Computing, etc. The members of the Kenyan delegation also made a presentation on the various initiatives and activities about Kenya School of Monetary Studies, Kenya. Later, they visited the Research labs of IDRBT.

IDRBT announces Banking Technology Excellence Awards 2012-13. Dr. D. Subbarao, Governor, Reserve Bank of India and Visitor, IDRBT and Shri. Anand Sinha, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India and Chairman, IDRBT graced the occasion and presented awards to the best banks.
On the occasion, the Governor inaugurated the Center for Information Assurance and Management, launched the pilot project on Cloud Computing and released a Framework on Cloud Security. Shri. Anand Sinha, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India and Chairman, IDRBT released the framework on Green Banking and Shri. G. Padmanabhan, Executive Director, Reserve Bank of India released the Social Media Framework. A White Paper on "Technology in Banking: Towards Improving Business Performance and Customer Engagement" has also been released during the event by Shri. Pratip Chaudhuri, Chairman, State Bank of India.

Shri Patrick Kishore, COO, SBU, IDRBT focused on "IT Strategy & Information Security Framework", Later Shri M. V. Sivakumaran, Faculty of IDRBT presented the "Gopalakrishna Committee Recommendations" later Shri Niraj Kapasi, Distinguished Fellow, IDRBT, Shared his Views about IT Business Alignment. In the Seminar the Independent Directors formed three Groups for Information Security & IS Audit, IT - HR and Organisation Structure and IT Business Alignment and gave some recommendations.
